Aggie Community,
Friday, March 6, marks Employee Appreciation Day, and we have a full week of activities planned to honor all of you — the extraordinary people who keep Texas A&M University moving forward.
From informal gatherings and recognition moments to opportunities to connect with colleagues and celebrate the important work you do every day, there’s something for everyone. We’ll kick off the week on Monday, March 2, with a breakfast in the atrium of the Jack K. Williams Administration Building, followed by a leadership presentation from Dr. Susan Ballabina, Executive Vice Chancellor of The Texas A&M University System, as part of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness’ “The Leadership Collective” series. This special presentation is about lessons she’s learned from her son about leadership that you won’t want to miss.
Tuesday through Thursday, activities will take place at various campus locations. All are welcome to attend these events. In addition, individual divisions, colleges and campuses are planning their own events to recognize the incredible contributions of their teams. Visit the Employee Appreciation webpage for a complete list of universitywide events, and be sure to RSVP for any events that require it, as noted on the webpage above.
Employee Appreciation Day is about more than events — it’s about recognizing the dedication, professionalism and service each of you brings to Texas A&M. Your work sustains our mission, supports our students and strengthens our community.
I encourage you to take part in the activities next week, whether universitywide or within your own unit, and to celebrate the vital role you play in the continued success of this great university.
Thank you for all you do for Texas A&M!
Gig ’em,
Tommy
