Implementation of Galveston Quick-Look Decisions
President Welsh assigned leads and deadlines for decisions finalized in the Galveston Quick-Look Assessment Final Report published on Feb. 6. Learn more about the decisions, associated team leads, deadlines and status updates related to each item within the final report.
In August 2023, then Interim President Mark A. Welsh III charged a small team with assessing the major Path Forward changes which ultimately resulted in the Quick-Look Assessment Report. The team then initiated similar reviews of Texas A&M University at Galveston and the Higher Education Center at McAllen.
The quick-look assessment for the Galveston campus was made available online for review and feedback from Dec. 11, 2023 through Jan. 5, 2024, and on Jan. 23, President Welsh hosted an in-person town hall at the Galveston campus to discuss next steps.
After a thorough review of the feedback received both in-person and online, the quick-look team revised recommendations and final decisions were shared in the final quick-look report for the Galveston campus posted on Thursday, Feb. 8.
