Texas A&M Moves Up 4 Spots In U.S. News Rankings
Dear Aggies,
We just received some great news. Our academic excellence and our recent progress have been recognized by our rise in the latest rankings by U.S. News and World Report. I am delighted to share that among 1,800 universities across the nation, Texas A&M climbed four spots to No. 66. If you look at only public universities, we also moved up one spot to No. 26.
The acknowledgement by U.S. News and World Report is part of a larger trend in which the results of your collective efforts are gaining greater recognition. You see that trend highlighted in the latest MONEY magazine ratings, which list Texas A&M as No. 11 in the nation and the best in the state. You’ll find it reinforced in the most recent Washington Monthly rankings, which identify us as No. 12 overall and No. 4 among public universities in the United States. And you can see our influence increasing around the globe with the World University Rankings, which in 2015 placed us No. 56 in the nation and No. 102 in the world. In only five years, your work has helped us make a dramatic rise to No. 41 in the United States and No. 73 in the world.
While we are very proud that your efforts are being recognized, we also realize that the story of Texas A&M’s recent success goes far beyond data, statistics and rankings. It is a story that is written each day through your hard work and commitment in every school and department across the university.
We are always appreciative of your daily dedication to excellence. During these challenging times, we are even more grateful that your contributions continue to help us advance our mission, extend our influence, and serve our students and the world.
Sincerely,
Michael K. Young
