Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Each of us has a personal responsibility to Step In to prevent incidents, and Step Up to support those affected. The Step In Stand Up campaign is designed to educate and engage participants in a pledge to prevent incidents before they occur, be an active bystander, support survivors and eliminate acts of sexual harassment and violence by honoring our Aggie Core Values.

View a full schedule of events at stepinstandup.tamu.edu. Display your support on April 20 when we "Teal Out" Texas A&M in support of sexual violence awareness and prevention. Free, teal SISU t-shirts will be available April 13-16 at the Bright Complex, Wehner and the MSC as supplies last. I thank all of the campus members who have been part of the SISU campaign, honored for excellence last year by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.

As both one of the nation's largest universities and one that focuses upon the core values of respect, excellence, leadership, loyalty, integrity and selfless service, we can seize this moment and show the rest of the country that we stand united against sexual harassment and violence.
