Muster Returns To Campus With Virtual Option
JOHN L. JUNKINSInterim President
April 21, 2021
Dear Aggie Family,
Today, Aggies of all generations will gather together in College Station and around the world to engage in our unique and solemn ceremony known as Muster. Through this timeless tradition, we remember those Aggies we have loved and lost, recalling how they contributed to our university, embodied our core values and enriched our lives.
We are very grateful for the hard work and diligent efforts of our Muster Committee, which designed a hybrid virtual and in-person event that will allow us to safely bring the main ceremony back to Reed Arena, while also streaming the event on Muster Live, at Kyle Field and on KAMU-TV.
For this year's ceremony, we are pleased that the keynote speaker will be retired General T. Michael Moseley '71, who served as the 18th Chief of Staff for the United States Air Force, was named a Distinguished Alumnus in 2013 and was inducted into our Corps of Cadets Hall of Honor in 2005.
The Association of Former Students will hold a reading of the 2021 Worldwide Roll Call for the Absent, and I hope you will find a way to join in commemoration with our students and former students, families and friends, across Texas and around the world.
Since the very first Roll Call for the Absent, this annual ceremony has helped us honor and remember those who have advanced our university and touched our lives. Although these cherished and recently deceased Aggies are no longer with us in person, when we softly call the Muster, we confirm that their legacies will live on in our minds and our memories, and that on our campus and in our hearts, they will always be "here."
Sincerely,
John L. Junkins
Interim President
