Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As the semester winds down and the holidays approach, Marti and I want to say a joyous and heartfelt "thank you" to each of you for being part of this thriving, warm, generous and extraordinarily capable campus community, vibrant with hands and faces and voices representing hundreds of cultures, aspirations and areas of scholarship, each working fearlessly toward the single goal of making this world better for all.
Thank you for demonstrating, in so many ways big and small, the "spirit that can ne'er be told" and educating us about our university's profoundly positive impact that has touched lives around the globe for more than a century.
I have spent a great deal of time getting to know you and learning about your ambitions, priorities and goals. It is clear to me that by uniting as a community of respect and academic excellence, infused over time with additional resources through the Lead By Example campaign, our future is virtually limitless.
In the coming year, I look forward to spending time working with you to refine and execute the strategies most likely to help Texas A&M make an even greater impact in the decades to come.
In the meantime, I hope your well-deserved holiday break is happy, healthy and invigorating.
